From www.skopos.org:

“For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.”  2 Corinthians 5:14-15

In 2014 we will examine the love of Christ.  For the believer, commitment to Christ is not driven by fear or the need for restitution, but by His love. It controls us, compels us. It DRIVES us. We will teach about how the love of Christ REACHES us, SECURES us, DRIVES us, and TRANSFORMS us.

God’s love is multifaceted and deep. It is both that which makes us aware of our sin and that which mercifully pardons it in Christ. It is that which both admonishes us when we go astray and that which comforts us when we return. It is even at work when we don’t realize it, when we can’t feel it, or when we can’t see it. It bears all things, believes all things; hopes all things, endures all things…His love never fails. And we who are called by His name no longer are driven by our own desires and wants, but by His love…and for His purposes and glory!
